There are more Amahara than there are Somali. Let alone the other ethnic groups. That's because the highlands of Ethiopia are well watered, and support a much larger population group. Somalis deserts support much lower population dendities. The Somalis never have defeated the Ethiopians, and they never will. Forget it.

Xplosive Somalis are impulsive and short-sighted and have no durability. Ethiopia will dominate us forever. They are just smarter than us.

Ethiopia would not be occupying Somali land, never mind threatening Somalia proper, if Somalis were intelligent people with the ability to focus on the main issue. They are easily sidetracked by petty rivalries and narrow-minded parochialism.

Mac the Ethiopian army was defeated by the time the Russians and Cubans came to help.

The forces they sent to harar with the cubans were newly conscripted peasants with little to zero training, all 50,000 of them.

Only thier airforce performed well. with their american training and F5's they ran rings around our mig-17 and 21's.

You are confusing two things. Ethiopia is not the one in trouble. Meles Regime is in trouble facing heavy Amhara opposition.

But one thing you must know is that Ethiopian political transition is always orderly. Even in the most trying political and military cirmucstances. And their strategic aims are permanent.

Somalia is populated by people whose political conciousness has regressed alarmingly to prehistoric levels. They are ripe for the picking.

Remember the Ethiopian proverb that they say speaks volumes about their mindset:
