Every product that is made, there is a pamphlet, guide book of how to assemble and maintain the longevity of that specific product by the maker. For human beings, our pamphlet is the Qur'an sent down by our creator, what else do we need.

I voted for Secularism. I think yes, Sir lug is absolutely correct, Quran is an an excellent source of guidance for Muslims and non Muslims if they were really smart. We cannot say Quran is the same as Sharia.Arabman is taliban fundamentalist--emphasis on the 'mental-ist if you will, Cool .....anyway...Arabman cleverly trapped us into a corner by making the choice misguiding and difficult.IN his mind Sharia = Quran?? I dont think so.Sharia basically in arab ----cling cling-- there the 'A' word again--in arab --'sharia' means Law.But we all know --although it is known as law in modern sharia term, but mostly the word is basically known as the opposite of Sunii--.(Sunii meanig of course, following the examples our beloved Phrophet Muhammad PBUH).

Secularism as well has a negative connotations, if one means 'modernizing' or 'Updating Islam.

For me -- i say i follow Quran just as it is--getting the main point of Quran is not the same as interpretting it by focussing on trivial arciac examples.

ARE you stupid?

We used the Qur'an in our golden age, in our Caliphs

Secular laws need to be updated, Islamic laws are forever

you are way too western... and you probably weren't even born here
