So you would violate human ethic codes just to deter future Criminals. Who gave you permission to set an Example? Beheading is an extreme case of torture. Do you know that Al-rasul(SCW) used to sharpen his knife when beheading goats, so he can kill them fast and avoid torturing them? Saudi Wahaabis need to use that as an exampleeternauta wrote:The beheading sends a message. It instill fear in (prospective) criminals. If you're a criminal, you know you could be apprehended, but you would think a thousand times before you commit a crime in a country you know you will be beheaded if apprehended. On the other hand, if it's a matter of a few months/years of prison with or without a fine, you're likely to commit the crime.MJ-Pride wrote:Why behead? Why not simply shot them dead. What happened to valuing human life. Saudi wahaabis need Ethic 101 Classes. Its also rich Saudi Arabia doing that while they are the biggest puppet to America

Don't tell me you support such madness? Personally, eventhough I support the enforcement of the Shari'ah in its purity, this is where I draw the line, Saudi Arabia is a disgrace to Muslims everywhere.
I think ICU/Al-Shabaab also support this type of punishment. It's an efficient punishment.Koronto91 wrote:Arabman,

Human ethic codes change from time to time. During the French revolution, human ethic codes permitted beheading. Today, human ethic codes do not permit beheading, but that could change in the future. You have got a confusion; beheading isn't torture. Beheading might not be different from death by electrocution or lethal injection. In a beheading, a sharp knife is used, and with a single cut the beheading is done.MJ-Pride wrote:So you would violate human ethic codes just to deter future Criminals. My issue is not with the type of punishment alone, but rather with the legitimacy of the Saudi Monarchy as well. They should be the last people on the face of the earth to stick up for Islam or carry-out Hadud punishments. Diinta Islaamka wey ka macsiyeeystaan, I respect Iran's practice of the Shari'ah more than I respect Saudi Arabia's, regardless of the fact that they're Shi'a, at least the Iranian revolution wasn't a product of the West and their loyalty is with Islam, rather than with Western oil companies.eternauta wrote:I think ICU/Al-Shabaab also support this type of punishment. There's a class of illegal drugs that are TRANQUILIZERS. This isn't your typical over-the-counter TRANQUILIZERS.FAH1223 wrote:What basis in the Qur'an, Sunnah does the punishment have.
The drug is TRANQUILIZERS....its not even coke, or weed, or heroin.
You could get these people off the streets, put them in the slammer, and try to let them repent....or find better things to do, reform them.
Just like you, my issue is not with the type of punishment. I also have an issue with the legitimacy of the Saudi Monarchy, which you know. For instance, they release Anglo-Saxon criminals whom were sentenced to death/beheading after their countries (US, UK, Europe) pressure the Saudi Monarchy.Koronto91 wrote:My issue is not with the type of punishment alone, but rather with the legitimacy of the Saudi Monarchy as well. Beheading with a sharp sword/knife isn't torturous. It is just like any other death. Infact a lot of doctors & scientist say that the most painful death is lethal injection.MJ-Pride wrote:Can you tell me one reason that beheading and turturing the guilty is better than honor death?Shirib wrote:Beheadings are good, but not for this crime
