Putting drugsdealers in prison and cutting the hands of robbers was better option.

In cases of apostacy and murder the person must be executed by beheading, nothing else.
Only a hypocrite got problem with beheading.

maybe he was warned, prisoned and so no.
the muslim qaathi has options and choices.
drug dealing in some extreame circumtances can be sentences under fasad fil arth.
the qaathi can choose regarding the case infront of him.
The recompense of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and do mischief in the land is only that they shall be killed or crucified or their hands and their feet be cut off from opposite sides, or be exiled from the land. That is their disgrace in this world, and a great torment is theirs in the Hereafter.
quran, suratel maida, ayah 33.
also theifs who horror the peaceful citizenship and scare thm.
in some extreme cases they sentences under fasad fil arth.
he was lucky the qaathi didn't choose in lug tha midig

I agree with maraax and hyperactive on this..

We dont know all the details of this particular case, but generally speaking drug smuggling/trafficking should be punishable by death. It destroys the youth i.e the future generation, the society, it increases criminality, destroys families..its no laughing matter..the Mind that Allah s.w.t gave us is indeed a precious thing..anyone who messes with it..or corrupts it should be severely dealt with.

Drug addicts on the other hand should be rehabiliated and given all the support they need to kick this habit.

Drug addication is a major destabalising force for a country,

Iran and Pakistan and Afghanistan among others have a growing problem,
with millions of drug addicts, and it is growing in Iraq thanks to the chaos brought by America.

In such a situation you need solutions, traditional solutions do not work becuase pakistan and iran with millions of addicts are already spending enourmous resources to combat it using traditional methodes, including executing trafficers.\

The solution to the problem is deceptively easy.
very simple to understand, but difficult to implement.\

This is a demand side problem, not a supply side.
you have to attack the demand.

Put all addicts in treatment concentration camps and
shoot all trafficers on site.

brutal, inhuman but gaurenteed effectivness, in less than 12 months.

Saudi Arabia executes 2 Saudi soldiers and 2 Syrians over rape and drug trafficking

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Interior Ministry says two Saudi soldiers and two Syrians have been beheaded after being convicted of rape and drug trafficking.

The ministry says the two soldiers were convicted of kidnapping and raping a 20-year-old foreign girl. It did not release the girl's nationality or say when the crime took place.

The soldiers were executed Saturday in the capital Riyadh.

Two Syrians were also beheaded after confessing to drug smuggling in the northern town of Tabuk.

Saudi Arabia follows a strict interpretation of Islam under which those convicted of murder, drug trafficking, rape or armed robbery are executed in public with a sword.

Saturday's executions bring to 47 the number of beheadings in the kingdom this year, according to an Associated Press count. Saudi Arabia beheaded 137 people last year, up sharply from the 38 executed in 2006.

The drug effects on the human soul and body is more painful than the split second death someone experiences through beheadings if done right. I have watched videos of drug addicts seized by withdrawal effects and their torment is immeasurable in human words.

Beheading is less painful and lasts in an instant as the brain is severed from the rest of the body quickly. I would prefer beheading over any other method of execution.

I have checked some Western forums (including an atheist forum) and sites about the issue of beheading. They overwhelmingly agree beheading is far more humane and less painful than other forms of death penalty (electrocution, lethal injection, hanging, etc).
