My point was that even secular humanism has a basis for perfectly good moral and ethical systems. Everything doesn't collapse when people stop believing the scriptural base was God-given.
A Deist is neither agnostic nor atheist. To a large degree, the position is a denial of the validity of certain scriptural sources and outward forms of worship. It is non-sectarian, but it is not a denial of God. The term generally implies that God does not take an immediate interest in the affairs of individual men; it does not imply either that God does not exist, or that He is not available to Deists on a personal level.
