One thing that i've learned through experience and my mother used to tell me as a youngster is that walaweyns or majority of Southerners can't cook very well, or only cook a very limited amount of dishes.
I wouldn't be surprised if the food you guys eat lack serious taste or is plain watery.

Kolombo,
Thanks. I think I will try and make the Moroccan Lamb Kebabs. It looks delicious and easy to make. How is your Ramadan going? I bet you are woong everyone with your signature Salmon dish this year eh?
Cali Gaab,
Are you kidding me.
Wallahi you folks are the most boring people to cook for. The only thing you enjoy and know is Hilib ( any sort) with baaris. NO Salad, fruit, dessert...NOTHING.

Re: Lets share recipes for Ramadan.
Ismahan,
My Ramadan is going well, alhamdulilah. It blows being single again, wifey used to take care of me this time of the year, now I'm left alone to stumble my way in to the kitchen. I made tilapia yesterday, I was amazed I didn't forget the paprika.
Cali_Gaab,
Which southerners? Have you ever eaten food made by reer baraawe or reer xamar? Southern Somalia is a very diverse place, don't generalize.

Re: Lets share recipes for Ramadan.
I consider reer xamar people to be the most diverse when it comes to food. They have all kinds of dishes, deserts. Reer wagooyi menus consists of hilib, baris and xalwaad or guraac for desert. thats all
