I swear, you guys don't know what to joke about and what not to joke about. When it comes to the Diin, it's a serious issue and there's no room for mockery or belittling someone for attempting to seek knowledge. Isku xishooda and Ilaahay ka cabsada.
Flame, Allah SWT says in the Qur'an:
"
And whoever seeks a religion other than Islâm, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers"
(Surat 3, Verse 85)
In the translation, the word "diin" is translated as "religion", because it's the closest approximate meaning. Lakiin if you took the literal meaning of the word, it's closer to "an established ordinance one adheres to and places as an absolute authority in governing their affairs". So basically, Allah SWT has ordained for us Islam as our religion, and He will not accept anything other than Islam, even if there isn't anything necessarily wrong with the alternative way of life someone has chosen to follow (whether exclusively, or along with Islam). For example, if you follow the basic tenets of Islam (belief in Allah's Divine Right to be worshipped alone with no partners, praying salaat, paying zakat, fasting during Ramadan, performing hajj if you're able to) and also follow another established method which isn't necessarily against Islam but also isn't part of it, then it won't be accepted from you because it is indirectly implying that there's something outside of Islam which Allah SWT never expressly gave us permission to follow, but is a good way of life for us. Surely, Allah SWT Knows everything about everything (past, present and future) and He would have revealed to the Prophet SAW that Islam AND that other way of life that is good for us are both lifestyles He Deemed acceptable. But Allah SWT did not mince words when he revealed to the Prophet SAW that
only Islam is acceptable to Him as a way of life, in no uncertain terms.
Also, I'm not an expert on Free Masonry, but from the little I did glean from previous encounters with it, it seems like a cult and, more importantly, doesn't really coincide with the teachings of Islam.
I hope that helps
