What about the accent of the reporter? what is he siju?

All 3 of them have an accent.

The debate would have carried more weight if the location were Hargeysa, Gerowe and Moqadishu.

Doha and Usa? bad choice

Mr samatar his opinion is based on what he reads about Somaliland or from the internet he is not aware what happens in his country , he is tottaly misinformed the referendum took place in awdal sool sanaag togdheer saaxil woqoyo galbeed.

Noble man why didn’t sicid samatar why didn’t the samatar brothers visit their mother when she died a few years back
Not sure that was a personal choice he made. In fact his abityo xoogsade died the same week as his mother AUN both of them. But he is not in exile from somaliland as such, I personally believe there would be no harm to his life if he ever decided to return.

I was thinking that throughout the whole debate, is that the best we could do?

Going against the haters like Samater brothers who rehearse their illusion ideology and baseless argument of what Somalia should look like and how to discredit the Somaliland accomplishment 24/7, you have to bring the big guns to knock them out dead, not a little pistol.

I don’t really care about his accent but his argument was emotional rather facts. You have countless well educated individuals within Somaliland who could do much better in debating such issue. I think Kulmiye and Somaliland dropped the ball in selecting such guy to do the talking in a situation like this.

He could have said a lot of things to discredit Samater’s claim regarding the elections, the economy and the political maturity of the nation.

Samater was keep saying the SO CALLED Somaliland election is not the first one in Somali peninsula. Granted there were multiple elections in the sixties when the Somalia was a democratic state and that Somaliland politicians were in the driver’s seat. He could have simply said, what happened after 1969 when the Somaliland political system was hijacked? In other words, what have you done for me lately? Walaahi CAWIL could have knocked him dead with some valid points about these so called elections in the 60s as he demonstrated in one of his books.

Sameter also said, the SO CALLED referendum was done by fear and large number of Landers didn’t vote including himself.

Answer: Because of the referendum the current government of Somaliland is from Samatters region. In other words, the majority of Landers voted yes including his region of Awdal.

About the economy, Samater said the brief moments when the Islamic court was in charge, large number of Landers were ready to move to Mogadishu.

Answer: the dollar has one color, green. There large number of other Somalis doing business in Somaliland today including reer Djibouti and reer mugadisho. We have political difference not economical or social segregation. Somalia and Somaliland are not at war with each other.

The introduction said it all for us when these beautiful images were shown at the beginning of the broadcast. He should use that as a platform and base his argument accordingly. He was baited to discuss something that is totally outside of the scope and he fell for it. The debate was about Somaliland accomplishment he should have forced their hand to discuss just that. He would have came out victorious even with his weird twisted accent.

Kan Qatar jooga ma fahmin where he was coming from and why he was there.

Through them I found out there is a pervasive effort in the Isaaq community to make the Isaaq kids feel good about being Isaaq. The problem is it just means the older generation peddling the lies have to be insecure themselves to drill been hawaas in the kids.
Isaaq were here after the mad mullah, we were here after the english, are here after Afwyene. One fact can not be denied we have the ability to rise to a challange and stay the distance. So Marxaan boy if your five minute of fame came and went with your personility cult father, and you find your self in the back of the race dont be mad at the race leader, move out of the way and let them lap you.
Hating on Somaliland wont build Gedo.
All those things were before 1969; the Siyaad card again? Waxaa la yiri the Blacks waxay ku caano maaleen the race card, the Jews the holocaust card.....Isaaq the Siyaad Card?

Brah they had me fooled on that one till I saw a roster of UN member states and saw no historical entrance of a Somaliland recognized state. This is similar to illiterate folklore of "Israel was the first to recognize Somalia before the Arabs even supported us" when Somalia's day of independence was guaranteed 11 years before and year before the existence of Israel.

In sanaag garadag ceelafweyn ceerigabo etc all took part of the referendum, unless it’s a different sanaag.

i have been more times to Somaliland then that professor I left Somaliland in 1989 returned in 1996 , visited in 1998 in 2003. And 2005 and 2007. Compare me to A professor who hasn’t visit Somaliland in 27 years lol

baritoole kolkad codeysid na waxad odhan doorasha kama dhicin laascanood iyo sool, hada weynu is naqana
The professor specifically said he cannot go to Somaliland because it is not a real democracy but a place where you have to toe a single position. Dissent is not allowed he said. Which is true were you not the first to congratulate the embarrassing moment where a man was denied to go to his own father's burial because of different political position? You don't know anything about democracy, reer baadiye xun baad tahay just like the majority of Somali camel shaggers.

He is from England and was lecturer at Westminister Univ yaa camii Not everyone is from Minnesota and Ohio like your rer baadiye clan. Your English accent might be perfect but doesn't do any good you're quite known around here as unprincipled bipolar flip flopper who comes in with different tone each week depending on his mood. And you chat nonsense at a man despite his accent in a language that isn't his first; who will possibly be sitting next to Obama on state visit hopefully soon here. Orodoo English aad ku hadashid bal wax kusoo dhacso aan kahayn in aad soo qortid 10 page oo hot air ah.
