u know what jandheer is called in Sanaag? it is referred to as Ciyaar Jiidali and Jiidali is an ancient SSC town on da foothills of Golis mountains

Naleye axmed chief said this famous line "Hadaan loo caga cagayn hadaan loo ceerigabayn hadaan cali nalaye ka boodayn hadaan cagta looga ciiil bixin"

Xero warsangeli iyo Sanaag kala saar

Fact: the jidali you speak of is less than 10 families and no more than 90 people in caarishes. If I were you I wouldn't even mention this make shift strip of shacks. Are Dhulbhante that desperate in claiming ceremonial dances as they are convincing Buhoodle is in Sanaag?

If anything your the laughing stock.

Im from Kismaayo :?

If I have a shack in Xamar doesnt make Bendir my deegan. Minority rights majority rules. If your a SNMlander your short stay in Erigavo will come to an end. And SC is not close to Maakhir so enjoy Jandheer.

These people in Maydh do not look somali serious i thought i was seeing aboriginese in dirac. sorry

All the poeple of the horn of africa have some type of dance. The male dances have an element of warrior dance. A form of horn of africa martial art with spears... Pre battle dance is the best form of calming the nerves.

Masai has a dance
Rindile have a dance
most somalis have a similar dance
Oroma have a dance

The dances are most apparent in those tribes that have a warrior history. Women just like to jump around and shake their bits where ever they exist.

I like all three dances, even though the jaandheer various slightly across the degmos I enjoy this dance the most out of all somali dances and the poetry is great.

Oldtuna, this dance I believe is mainly practised by dhulbahante, HJ(Sanaag/Sool), HY(Sanaag/Sool) and I think Warsengeli. Anyway this dance is the traditional dance of Sool and Sanaag and some places in togdheer like balidhiig, buuhoodle etc.
