I can't help it. I have a deep phobia of Ikhwans. I am uncomfortable around them and avoid being near them. It was strange to discover that a relative had turned Ikhwani recently. From that moment on, I avoid being around him and don't even contemplate going to his house or eating any meals with him. When I see women with jalabiibs and niqaabs or men with long beards and capris, I become alert and keep an eye on them. Its like they are the 5th column, an unseen enemy.
Only online. In real life you can easily spot the good people from the pretenders.

I am surpised HELWAA didn't recommend "Just For Men"!

She says I'm too old, which is why I want to have her as my number two. It's the Somali way after all. I even promise to make an annual trip to Sweden and keep the xawaala tills ringing every month.

Your phobia of Niqaab and beards pobably has nothing to do with you disliking a particular sect, rather it is just a reflection of the issues you have with Islaam. You seem to have no problem of discomfort when you promote your filth on other threads, yet the sight of a women with Jilbaab makes you uncomfortable.
I didnt think i would read such things from a fully grown Somali man.

I find it to be a blessing if someone is taking their time to teach me about Islam and encouraging me to pray etc. What I dislike is the people who are always divisive and believe the masjid tgey pray in is more holier than yours, and wearing a pink hijab is clasified as spreading fitnah. It is one thing to be know religion but its another thing to have understanding of it. May Allah give us knowledge and understanding of Islam.

Sometime back, the egyptian government was on a holy war against the Muslim brothers and their like so the state run TV had so many soap operas showing how evil these people are and how they use religion for their own hidden agendas so one day, I stopped a taxi and the driver was a guy with a very long beard wearing a qamis immediately i remembered what I saw in the TV and was as if I was hit by electric shock, i didnt take the cab!!! I think I was brain washed.

But nowadays, I suspect everyone, its all fair game :D

Well.....Abdi.... It doesnt take a genius to figure out why u r 'phobic' towards religious people and religious relatives. You are self conscious of your sinning ways-- your alcoholinism, your night clubbing and zinaa-ism. You are self conscious about yourself, which is a good sign. It means u r not totally gone, there is hope for you. You r avoiding them is a self mechanism way of coping with the sinner part of you, your way of avoiding to face your own sinful mirror when you are around a God fearing glowing Ikhwan person. :)

Nope, as long as people are not imposing their views and recognize that everyone is not on the same spiritual trajectory.
A holier than though attitude and putting a premuim on style over susbstance does get to me though.
