If your idol was such a "genius" as you claim coolpoison he should have known when his time was up instead of waiting for rebels to take over the city and send him to Nigeria.that is what greediness does to people.
Gen Salaad Gabeyre was married to Dalays, who is not only Marehan, reer Diini, reer Kooshin, but reer Xassan Kooshin like Siad practically his cousin.

She famously sang the song![]()
Honeyoow inkastoo wadankaadu warsheikh yahay
Honeyoow inkastoo qabiilkaadu hawiye yahay
honeyoow inkastoo warkaadu wabay yahay
qalbigaa ku doortay
I have seen some other sources that he was the son in law of Adan Cadde i will have to double-check that. Interesting song by the way who lives in Warsheikh is it a abgaal area?

all the members of the src fuked up like the russian revolutionaries fucked up with stalin.
Nearly all of the main men in the army were much more sophisticated and worldly than siad barre,
nobody thought he was a threat, just like stalin was not seen as threat by everyone..
he divided and conquered...
i respect that,
those idiots may allah have mercy on them did not understand the number 1 rule of millitary coups..
the most vicious and aggressive wins..
its a dog fight in the end, and the biggest baddest dog won in the end.

Hmm let's see. This was a man who served in the Police Carabineri of Italian Somalia rising to be it's Commander, moved to Kenya to get his education, enrolled with the British, got his qualifications, whose charisma and understanding, and multi lingual nature speaking Italian and English had him rising to the position of the Commander of Armed Forces of Somalia by 1966, whose wit and intelligence led him to plan a coup after the death of a president, and saw him outsmarting the rest of his coup co-conspirators who were trying to plan a counter-coup..yet an Iidoor who can barely write English in an internet forum and doesn't know and never learned what complete sentences are can give a verdict on him 40 years later after history has already judged him based on accomplishment?gurey25 wrote:all the members of the src fuked up like the russian revolutionaries fucked up with stalin.

From the beginning the Coup was by Siad and the policy formation on the day after the coup was up to Marehan as Aydiid says in his book:
Besides this, he chose three intellectuals of his tribe, who were secretly working for him in evolving the political system and the future policy. They were spreading his ideas. The chief among them was a well-known named Mohammed Aden who had received his education in Italy and obtained a Doctorate of Pediatrics (Medicine)."

This is the man you are talking about whose understanding of the world, multi-lingual nature, awareness of geo-politics, and world maneuverings and high political chess game of the world is unmatched by any Somali leader anywhere today forty years later

touched a nerve there didnt i,
you may worship him if you like, but this is the man that destroyed somalia.
i would have forgiven him if he handled the ogaden war well, but we all know what happened.
nobody takes italians seriously when it comes to millitary affairs,
at least adideed went to frunze in moscow after his stint in italy.

How old was voltage in 1991 when dictator regime ceased to exist? probably 2 or 3 years of age.
Gurey it seems to me most of these so call high ranking military officers in Somalia at the time had police background. The only ones with an actual military training and attended well known military institution were all Isaaqs notably col. Xassan Keyd.

Re: Historic Picture of Major General Maxamed Ainanshe Gulee
Not at all. I have always said with all my education and due to come, my understanding of the world, my own personal assumption to be more qualified as a leader in Somalia than most Somali leaders, etc if I had been old enough during Siad's reign, my greatest desire would have been to be the head of his bodyguards. I wasn't alive or old enough then which disappoints me, but I can take some solace in that my abti Abdirizaak who recently died in Saudi Arabia last year and who by the way was married to an Isaaq woman avenged my hungergurey25 wrote:

My mom's brother Abdirizaak, on 0:09 on the left of Aabe Siyaad (or right to him) or at 6:44 right behind Aabe Siyaad with red cap, and the head of his personal security
Aabe Siyaad enlightened Somalia, he took the reer baadiyes and brought them to the world and put our name on the map. He gave us a script, schools, education, enlightenment. The most reer magaal man in Somaliland today would have been the most reer baadiye man during Siad's Somalia. So no you didn't touch a nerve, but I am here and have always been here to give his Excellency, The president of the Somali Republic ahaane Gudoomiyaha Xisbiga Hantiwadaaga Soomaaliyeed, Major General Jaale Maxamed Siyaad Barre Cabdille, his due justice from the bitter children of the opposition and jealous vagrants of yesteryear.
