the TFG response
Re: Faroole to the World:"Puntland will host Somalia Confere
Nothing substantial will come out of this meeting. Why, well for one this TFG is by far the most popular TFG Admin since its inception. That coupled with the little momentum they've generated will make it next to impossible to sit down for another "shir" in Kenya followed by another TFG.

1. Western powers will never accept all inclusive government. They want a pro-west/rubber stamp government, nothing less. They will even try to destroy if we opt another system. This shuts out a good percent of the population who want live under pure Islamic law.
2- Shababs and other hardcore religious groups will never accept anything less Islamic Sharia law. They too alienated a lot of people who are not in line with them.
How do you solve such a puzzle? Follow one camp blindly and insult anyone else who puts a different thought on the table? No matter how many years we continue fighting and hating each other, the question is still there. Can we compromise?
Reasonable assessment. Farmaajo has shown independence and the western powers don't want to see that.
Can we compromise? Before compromise is reached, all Somali groups should each give up something. A reform is needed within the Islamists' camp and also in the TFG before compromise can be reached. We should accept we can only get out of the mayhem by choosing credible leaders. How do we do that is the question?
