Gurguras have people who are hardcore Oromo lovers, those who will do anything for Somalis, and then majority of them that would love to stick with Ethiopia.

At the end of the day Dire Dhawa will still be dire.
People from DD are happy with how it is, some wouldn't feel good under Somali rule, others under Oromo rule.
I honestly think keeping it as a chartered city is great. Everyone in the city is bilingual or multi-lingual, and love and respect one another.
The Somalis I know from Dire dhawa only claim dire nothing else, and same with the Oromos. It's dire this or dire that. You not being from this city, or region wouldn't know how people in DD think, so i advise you to leave Dire alone and focus on your own issues.
