There is no such thing as a town called Dawwa in Somalia. Dawwa is a name of a river, but also Dawwa is the name of upper area of Gedo. Beled-Xaawo, Luuq Ganaane and Doolow are all in Dawwa area of Gedo. Whereas Garbahaarey, Baardheere, Ceelwaaq, Buurdhuubo and Ceel-cadde are in Dir-Haro area of Gedo. Dir-Haro is a area name of South/Central Gedo.

Shabelle river, goes through Hiiraan, Middle Shabelle, Lower Shabelle.

Dawwa river, goes through Gedo and NFD.

Jubba river, goes through Gedo, Middle Jubba and Lower Jubba.
