Lol!!!!! Educated Somali guys love educated Somali girls. People always want people that are like them. That is human nature. Why wouldn’t an educated guy want an educated girl that understands him? It is not good to marry someone that you have nothing in common with. I know many educated Somali guys and they all married educated Somali girls. All of them.

I got married right after college graduation. But some girls I know that are single are not single because they went to college, but because they were smoking, drinking, or still in love with their ex-boyfriend. Somali guys educated or not will not tolerate that even if they have bad habits themselves.

If you don’t have bad habits, and have a good reputation, plus graduated, and have a good job any educated Somali guy will be happy to marry you. But take care of your looks since a guy will not talk to you to even find out if you are amazing if you look a hot mess.

talo, sorry if it has already mention (couldn't go through all 5 page) - it has been proven by stud after study that children with two university grad parents excel in life. Also the one with one university educated parent does much better than the one whose parents are under educated.

I think a lot of educated girls do end up settling eventually--if they're dead set on not marrying out of the community. I think the problem nowadays is the lack of opportunity/places for young Somalis to meet. I'm not sure how it is where you are but in the last five years or so I haven't attended a single mixed wedding in Toronto. When I was younger--most if not all--the weddings I attended with my older cousins/siblings were...that's how they met their future spouses. These days girls have few options when it comes to meeting Somali guys--especially if they want to do so without ruining their reputations/shaming their future in laws. Because if things don't work out with a guy that's she's been seen running around with, she gets talked about not him. All the less educated and not to be mean but less attractive girls I have know met their husbands at the masjid. So I guess girls can always try that hustle... You can also meet guys through your Somali girlfriends if your less religious and open to being seeing in public with members of the opposite sex without a mahrem. I don't know how old you were then or when such BBQ took place but Somalis are getting uber religious. If I did something like that nowdays habaryars and odeys will shit talk me for facilitating zina and free-mixing. lmao.
