what about non-Muslim men, can you look them in the eye? what happens if you're talking to someone assuming he's non-Muslim then he tells you he's muslim. do you suddenly look away?

You don't simply look away, you must stare them down till they do.

You probably don't know the meaning of either term, Jim-Bob, but let's say you do. It's ironic coming from a guy who sincerely believes he can hop on a plane to Mauritania, put down $999.99 and buy a couple of slaves(non-refundable, two-for-one).

As they say, "Irony is wasted on the stupid"
 @ Jim Bob. I assume you thought I was actually being serious in the accent thread. As for the two terms, I'm pretty sure my juxtaposition of the words made it more than clear that I understand what they mean.

As for the whole slavery thing, if you feel uncomfortable with the idea that the Qur'an and Sunnah both explicitly accept and regulate the institution of slavery, I suggest you find a new faith to practice.

Like I said to others before, "The Qur'an unequivocally states that Islam has been perfected, the Sunnah unequivocally denounces innovations in the faith (bid'ah), and Islam unequivocally claims to be a faith that is for all times and places. Your claims seem to insinuate that mortal men have the ability/authority to arbitrarily abrogate parts of Islam they deem to be incompatible with the "modern age", when the single most important source of authority in Islam condemns innovations and proclaims the religion perfected and applicable to all peoples and all time. This leads me to believe that you are implying that there are limitations in your God's omniscience since he could not apparently foresee a change in social mores and attitudes when he proclaimed Islam's perfection in the seventh century".
