The Marines seem to be the bad asses. The training is tougher, a smaller group and grueling experiences. My friend who joined up just when I was heading to university is now a high ranking officer and planning to retire with full benefits.
The Army is not bad but I worry that his lack of intellect will have him doing the dumb jobs: truck driving, infantry, etc. His ASVAB score was awful. Yet, the Army is a larger institution with more opportunities.
So any recommendations on how to reform a potential hoodlum before its too late ? Or is it off to the military to set him straight ? I am sure with a first name Ali and being from the land of the Black Hawk Hunters, he will really enjoy it
