Sheikh Shariif was a better president than this guurgurte fella. Shariif had to deal with alshabab when they we're hard to get rid and he did much more for the people in Xamar than guurgurte will ever will.

Besides since when did Shariif become a competent leader? Weren't he the guy that people nicknamed 'Dalxiis' because all he did was go on trips. NO Shariif Dalxiis DID NOT deal with Al-Shabaab, Farmaajo did. Lets not rewrite history, Shariff Dalxiis couldn't walk 2km from Villa Somalia and the whole military dynamic changed when Farmaajo became PM.

Anyways though they are quite similar I will choose Culusoow over Dalxiis anytime. At least Culusoow has good background, a professor that did well for his people by establishing a university. Culusoow has better CV than Dalxiis.

Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has been the most pro-Marehan president a non-Marehan could be. Some people dislike that and will attempt to play reverse psychology to turn them against him.

Has he had ups and downs? Yes. Have I questioned and criticized many of his moves? Yes. Who could be better? There isn't a Somali that I know, whether with name in Somalia or not that I could definitively say will be a "good president" or "the president Somalia needs" (whatever those subject names mean).

I realized the whole thing about a "good president" is arbitrary. Somalis need to work with what they get and I'll definitely say Hassan Sheekh Mohamud is a Sheikh compared to many.
