If western society is really serious about promoting peace and equality they should really reform the basis of 'freedom of speech' , i.e in Germany they have invalid codes of speech, I cannot go to Berlin and publicly deny the holocaust, it's illegal, but it's speech? Similarly, I cannot denegrate races by using racial slander, and recently it is also forbidden to curse homosexuals, however haven't they consider how personal and deep is a faith to the person who holds it? For an atheist or a secularist, their ideas, and thoughts, and their race etc.. dies with them when they die, but Muslims believe they live on, and more importantly, live on in hope that they are united with the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on a new earth, in a new universe, awaiting a justified judgement... that there is the difference, if people were wondering why do Muslims take their faith seriously, it's because they literally believe that they will be trialed and tested, and that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) plays a integral role in their life here, and in their life in the other world..
