Hyper, a friend of mine told me he uses Somali networks when he is in towns bordering Somalia. He said Ethiopian government owned telco is so unreliable sometimes he has to travel some distance to get a good Somali signal.

Like any other business, Telecom/Internet coverage is good for the consumer when there's a competition and good for the provider in a monopoly market.
