Why do Sudanese cushites identify as Arab?

Its something ive always wondered. I get that Arabs have been marrying sudanese people for hundreds of years and there are some highly mixed sudanese people that could pass as Arab but most sudanese arab people I met in Australia either look like Habeshas or somalis, only a few look arab. And unlike Somalis who consider Ethiopians, inspite of our own cultural differences as being apart of the broader cushitic ancestral family tree, most sudanese arabs I met identify more with Arabs from Egypt and SA than those from the horn. They actually look down on us according to some of my friends whove had arab sudanese relatives.
This dude looks like my Oromo neighbour, hes discussing racism against south sudanese people by arab sudanese. He considers himself an Arab sudanese.

Lol, most of them are Nilo-Saharan/Arab hybrids. Only the so called ''Nubians'' in Southern Egypt and North East Sudan are Cushites (Beja).

ive only known a few, maybe 4 and they all either look habesha or Somali, perhaps theyre originally beja.

Sudan culturally, linguistically, lineally, dialectically, historically, politically, religiously and neighborly/geographically is all Arab after the spread of Islam and when Amr ibn al-as conquered North Africa so therefore, they are Arabs.

Do you also consider Maghrebi-Berber, Libyans, Egyptians and Shami people Arab as well? The reality is everyone is just Arabized and have left their identity long time ago hence why Arabs today are diverse and range from European, dark, light and Asian features etc. The descendant of Ismail (real Arabs) are from the Arabian peninsula.

Northern Sudanese Arabs are not Cushitic. They're a mixture of Arabs and indigenous black tribes.

The only Cushites are the Beja and they have their own identity and are not considered "Arab".

They are a very fascinating people by the way. They have many shared traditions with Somalis.
