So today, I overheard my mom talking with my dad about the latest drama going on. My mom and her friends, all from the Isaaq-HabarYonis - Gunbuur sub-clan "Reer Baileh" (I had to give you that much detail lol) went to a money exchange store owned by a family friend of ours, also from the same tribe. So they went there and the wife of the man was there, who's also related to them but she's "Reer Iqaal Adan", but still Habar Yonis-Gunbuur. So when my mom and her friends enter the store, the man says in Somali "Oh Hablahee Reer Baileh is here, Xalima, slaughter a lamb for them and welcome them"...you know as in a joke, cuz Somalis slaughter lambs to honor someone. Then she replied "Why am I gonna slaughter a lamb for Reer Baileh". My mom and her friends became angry becuz of that and since then, they stopped talking to her Lool. This is sooo ridiculous. My father told me this, and I couldn't believe it. They're all Isaaq...Habar-Yonis...Gunbuur, just different sub-sub-sub clan loool. I told my father this is why Somalia is a destroyed country.
