Speaker Mursal: Sponsors have dropped motion against President
We knew it was dead, but the Speaker has announced today the motion against Farmaajo is completely dead
https://www.hiiraan.com/news4/2018/Dec/ ... eaker.aspx
Many people have underestimated Farmaajo, because he seems like Ciyaal Xamar experienced in American system unused to the rough and tumble of civil war Somali politics. Yet this guy (who refuses to speak, but does everything silently) has proven himself to be cunning, bold, daring, and very shrewd.
What other Somali leader would have;
1. Done a raid on Abdirahman Abdishakur and take 2 million bribe money out of his house without setting HG into rebellion
2. Faced down Federal States and put them in their place (for example no more flying around and engaging in foreign affairs)
3. Told Saudi Arabia and UAE to mind their business about who we do business with and even confiscate UAE plane and 10 million in bribe
4. Change the Federal political structure to reflect the authority of the Fed Gov with Fed States
5. Reach a historic agreement with regional states forcing them to deal only with the Fed gov
6. Elect his guys in regional states
7. Face down Parliament and have them respect the authority of the Executive
8. Have the same government in place for the 3rd year running which is a level of continuity and stability in the Federal structure unheard of
History will reveal the Machivellian nature of this guy

Re: Speaker Mursal: Sponsors have dropped motion against President
Beyond the theatrics, he is the weakest, most docile, most foreign dependant 'president' in the history of Xamar. This is the reality in Somalia:

Begging the international community for assistance and doing the bidding of Abiye Ahmed changes nothing about the realities on the ground, he lost more land to Al Shabab than anyone before him.

Fake map ! AS doesn’t control one single district in Gedo other than Ceelcade. Also 70% of Jubada Hoose is free. Same goes to Hiraan, Shabbelada Hoose, Bay and Bakool are mostly under the gov’tBen Dover wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 4:42 pm Beyond the theatrics, he is the weakest, most docile, most foreign dependant 'president' in the history of Xamar. Don't pay attention to that pointless stuff. Some agencies try to make something more urgent for money. Al Shabaab has been completely removed from most of Gedo for example.
Farmaajo today with the leaders of the Senate

Sitting with the leader of the Senate Cali Xaashi (Isaaq) and deputy leader of the Senate Moulid Guhaad in hat (Marehan)

Your reaction is a candid example of the mindless supporters of the cheese boy. Going to great lengths to present this docile weak man as someone who can actually partake in politics independent of the many entities he is constantly begging.
The fact stands that he lost more land to Al Shabab than all his predecessors.

First of all, you don’t know if I’m a Farmaajo supporter or not. Second of all, I know who controls my region because I was there last spring. AS doesn’t control in Gedo. Also, it’s actually funny that you didn’t post the link of your “sources”Ben Dover wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 5:11 pmAre you calling the BBC fake news?Mustafee101 wrote: Thu Dec 20, 2018 4:54 pmFake map ! Farmajo is a crafty fox wallahi. Gacan baa u tagay. Now his enemies are surely to regroup. The great sport has returned.

In case you have comprehension issues, the images are clearly dated and credit BBC and I said that above.
And they paint a bleak picture of the magnitude of failure of Farmajo. Never before has a so called 'president' controlled such a tiny strip of land. He lost more land than all his predecessors, which is a feat in its own right.
Yet here we have farmajo stans claiming he is some powerful leader, when he can not take a piss without African Union soldiers protecting his life, in the very capital he claims to rule

Every motion against President is dead on arrival. It's nearly impossible to pull off. Not sure why it's really ever tried, none of them succeed.

Liar ! The article you posted says December 2017...
Anyway, there are 8 districts in Gedo: Doolow, Beled Hawo, Luuq are under Abdirashid Janan’s army (pro-Ahmed Madoobe). Garbahreey, Buurdhuubo, Baardheere and Ceelwaaq are under the federal gov’t army (pro-Farmaajo). Ceelcade was also under the gov’t army but switched to AS after the Kenyans sidelined with the Ogaden in Kismaayo and that was during Hassan Alasow’s term

Did you actually open the link? The map was updated in Feb 2018, it clearly says that.
We went from "this is fake news!!" to pretending you can not see the map in the article.
You are embarrassing yourself.

Re: Speaker Mursal: Sponsors have dropped motion against President
Farmaajos strength comes from having a loyal cadre of friends and maintaining relationships throughout the years. In addition he has been very lucky vis a vis Ethiopia with the Death of Zenawi and his citizenship being American has helped greatly.
As for Abdishakur no one ever really liked him especially HG. He dodged a potential disaster if Qeybdiid had been assasinated by the Danab. Fortunately he was able to personally apologize to the Senator and patched up at bad feelings by unmasking the conspiracy funded by AbdiShakurs allies.
Another strength he has is his public persona and listening to his advisors. His trip to Hobyo Dhusamareb generated a lot of goodwill among the HG. His inner circle has notable HG and I genuinely believe that he is for the development of Galmudug.
Of course there are notable HG critics but they are pay as you go clowns who have no agenda. They paint Farmaajo as the second coming of MSB when the two are very different
