Re: Leaving your kids
The problem is Somali women in the west will not accept a second wife in Somalia.
A lot of men go ahead anyway and their first family and kids are totally destabilized.
A better way would be to wait untill their kids are grown then marry a second wife.

You mean it daqan for somali men running away from their wife and children and marrying another woman, i mean look divorcing your wife isn't a big problem but not taking care of your kids financially, socially is something that Allah can never forgive
Re: Leaving your kids
I met a somali mother with seven children whose husband ran away from her together with the kids and went to dubai and thereafter married another woman and have totally neglected his children
Imagine!

Unfortunately this is so common its not even news.
Re: Leaving your kids
Father is the head of the family
He is the one who provides and look after his family
Imagine a son growing up without his father

It is very common.when most Somali separate from their wives, they also divorce their kids. It is really sad.
I am probably ignorant but I am not sure where the women usually never fight it. It is just accepted.

Re: Leaving your kids
A lot of guys cut off their kids after dovorce.....it's like they can't seperate wife from kids.
There isn't much a woman can do if the father isn't interested.

Re: Leaving your kids
It goes both ways... Somalia ppl are emotionally led ppl.
A women will divorce her husband on rumours. A man will just up and leave his wife becos he couldn't handle the relationship. It takes two to tango go something wasn't working. Some ppl jump straight to guur without been equip to handle all the things that came with it.
