You do know that the travel of direction is towards official separation right?

Somaliweeyn007,
I have always been a proponent of moving the capital from Mogadishu. Too much bad history. Let it be the commercial hub of Somalia and a Federal State (Benadir State).
Big Break,
In have always supported independence but not with Sool, Sanaag. Even without that, theres still huge amount of territory left with a low population.

Sorry colonial borders are the basis for establishing independent countries in Africa. Sool and Sanaag belongs to Isaaq as much as Darod clan wise

I thought it could be put behind us, but seeing HBlock former Prez's beating drums of "Unuka leh" as the Presidential election nears has been disappointingMurax wrote: Wed Jun 17, 2020 3:06 pm Somaliweeyn007,

You can’t break up the Harti. I support SL independence only if the border is at Galkacyo.
Murax will also benefit being the only most HAG like Jeberti tribe

Abdiwahab252,
I’ve been converted to HAGism long ago from Jabartism. Long may HAG reign!
Btw this is the official statement of the talks. I wish I had a connection to Villa Somalia, and was assigned to one of the technical committees! I always wanted to see Djibouti. Imagine getting a paid vacation to FKD Somalilanders when I do it for free here.

Sxb can you explain why sool and sanaag shouldn’t be kept by Somaliland? Sool is shared by dhulo, hj and fiqishni, sanaag is predominantly a habar yonis gobol with sizeable hj and warsengali communities. Why on Earth would these two shared regions be given up to darod? Darod is a minority in sanaag and makes up 50% of soolMurax wrote: Wed Jun 17, 2020 3:06 pm Somaliweeyn007,

mahoka,
The negotiations are Somalia/Sland not Darood Sland. The ones negotiating from Somali are Hawiyes, .5s etc. I also didn’t say Isaaq don’t live there, but even you acknowledge that other clans live there. Are you 100% sure they would all prefer secession than union? The FGS representation from Sool, Sanaag would be lost in that scenario and they wouldn’t have access to Somali resources. Please lets be reasonable and admit that its a more complicated scenario than Toghdeer, Waqooyi Galbeed, Awdal.
A) I’m just some Faarax from the Internet my opinion doesn’t matter.
B) I’m not from those regions, so I’m not as invested.

Murax
I love Djibouti. It reminds me of the precivil war Somalia. The people are chill and moderate. If it were not as hot I’d love to live there year around. I spent a week at Kempinsky part of a conference. It was vacation I will never forget. First thing I did was take a nice long warm bath. Took the grime of Galkacyo off. Next stop was the buffet: all those fresh veggies and salads. Then it was the awesome pool. The club at night is pretty lively. All kinds of expats up there.
I’d recommend you check it out. When I returned to GLK I was 10lbs heavier, 2 shades lighter and unstressed. I am writing a paper to get selected for a summit in Kazakhstan.

Akh, we are all simple, straight firing faraxs online kkk, it’s SL and somalia negotiating but we keep hearing about sool and sanaag so let’s explore some more.Murax wrote: Wed Jun 17, 2020 4:57 pm mahoka,

Back to the question, the only reason those two regions are mentioned by darods is because of the sizeable darod community there which is fair. I would understantd the argument for the darod parts of sool and sanaag but the whole gobols kkkk that’s impossible, specially when you make up a minority in one (sanaag) and half of the other. I can assure you the hy, hj and fiqishni In those regions are happy to stay with SL.
I would personally like to negotiate a deal with Somalia in which you guys take the darod parts of sool and sanaag and agree to the divorce, that would save us a lot of hassle, put more pressure on Mogadishu tax payer and certainly make for interesting politics with the hawiye in xamar.
Re: 3rd Day Of Somalia/Somaliland Talks, Something Cooking?
There is no dispute Sool and Sanaag are part of Somaliland, it will never be part of Zoomalia because of demographics, sool is a shared terrority canayba, oog, is exclusively reer shikh isaxaq, xudun part lasanod district is split, adhicedeye faqashini, and finally dhulos in lasanod town to south and east of it, taleex only district exclusively dhulos, on the other hand sanaag and buhoodle district is majority reer shikh isaxaq territories, excluding buhoodle town that straddle ethiopian border which is dhulos.these places are not jubaland were dar ood has invaded and replaced orginal inhabitants, it's not up for sale either.I laugh when I hear someone from zoomalia, especially doofaar talking about eastern Somaliland, like they know anything about it.

The sl negotiating team should have entered the talks with clear objectives.
Firstly they should have insisted on sl aid being routed through Hargeisa.
Every embassy in mog must have a consulate in Hargeisa.
The sfg must recognise any bilateral agreements signed by sl.
You see there was numerous objectives that could have heen realised without giving up anything in return. These would have been described as confidence building
measures......but in reality sl would have been building up its capacity in anticipation of independence.
As a Dhulbahante II door makes the decision for you while you remain a by slanders or divided into different 4factions
Somalis are cursed with the all or nothing way of doing things.
