When Mogadishu is conflated with Somalia as a whole, no wonder your country becomes a broken up failed state.

Hopefully once my country Somaliland finally gets recognition we don't place all eggs of the economy in just Hargeisa. Erigavo should replace Hargeisa as the seat of the Somaliland national government branches

Mashallah.

The Gap between the elite and poor people is growing though and that is worrying. All these malls and supermarkets are expensive for most of the shacab. Average middleclass income is 500-800 usd and a plot inside xamar is atleast 80 k usd. Madness wallahi.

I hate to say it but that’s okay. Somalia has one of the highest percentage of diaspora per population probably. Diaspora with money who grew up in the West, Dhaqan Celis kids, etc have certain standards.

Yes but but everything is extremely over priced for a 3d world country. If you look at living and rent costs. Abnormal.

Exactly and the rest of the country isn’t developing at the same pace. Thanks for admitting what we know. All the wealth in the country can’t be concentrated in the capital only. Remember that’s why other Somalis hated us
