Thank God the think is going to be played in South Africa in 2010. Hopefully the refs will also be more representative from other parts of the world too. Because I think it's obvious that they are biased in favor or European and South American teams.

^ Did u watch the Togo VS Swizz match couple of days ago, A Togo player was fouled in the box and the refs response was pretty obvious, The ref didn't even call it a foul nor a pently kick, It should've been a pently but persisted the game and acted as if nothing has happened. Togo had a chance to tie the game luckly they lost.

It's typical of what we have seen this whole world cup. There has been a bias towards the European and South American teams for over a decade. Whenever a team outside of one of those places makes it past the opening round they are considered a "surprise", as if Europe and South Americans were somehow special.

there has been no game more biased than yesterday's game, australia vs croatia . how fifa let an english referee preside over a game played by australia is beyond me . It's like scotland agains't an african or latin team and the man in the middle is an english man? Thanks to their cousin ref, australia progressed to the next stage

And there isnt bias towards Europeans and S. Americans. It aint FIFA's fault that N. Americans and Asians sukks big time. Africans sometimes tough opositions, but anything outside Europe and South America isnt ansythin special, so yes if USA or South Korea or Ghana reach the semi final then it is a surprise
