The reason Kismaayo is not represented in the new media or any other development for that matter are many things including but not limitedto:

- Kismaayo has been a centre of bloody conflict since the collapse of somali regime.
- It changed hands on more 10 times among various warlods
- This resulted in the displacement of real Kismaayo natives, people who had genuine interest on development
- There has never been a political solution to Kismaayo promlem, only perpetual violence

In a nutshell PEACE was absent from Kismaayo, without it...!
