Why force the issue on them ?

Why not let them convert on their own will ?

I have a good friend of mine who is in the process of trying to convert his NonMuslim girlfriend from her religion to Islam. I told the Farax that he better be sure she does it out of love for Islam not because of you since he insisted she become Muslim before he can marry her.

I also have another friend of mine (NonMuslim) who was dating this Somali woman for some time. She pressured him to become Muslim and he began to gradually learn about the religion & gave up the pork & booze. Anywayz, the relationship failed because her family still did not accept him and his family did not accept her. Now he is back to his religion & his cultural practices.


So why coerce someone to convert as a stipulation of marrying them ? Is it fair ? Unfair ?
