For the writer to be taken serious he better show the full picture or else the book will look like something coolpoison wrote.

Dooro writer writes book about dooro president for dooro people.
This is what Warsame said earlier about it
Warsame101 wrote:I believe some of the comments in this topics re-inforce my position that Somalis as a whole save a few, have this preconceived notion that they can figure someone's school of thought and his collection of opinion based on his tribal affiliation.

I specifically mentioned in my initial post:

It includes both his postive and negative impacts by scrutinizing his actions from a neutral point of view.

For those who have trouble deciphering this crucial point; it means that the book will be free from the unsubstantiated 'facts' that has been circulating the minds of many Somalis since the inception of the Somali civil war.

It will only look at substantiated events and detail them, leaving it to the reader to decide what to make of it.

I have gone the extra effort, on dodging oral history and the countless versions that each Somali group has formulated, and made sure I referenced the points in the book based on the written records dating from that period.
I'm all for a balanced critique

Iam gonna read it regardless but let's be honest with each other here, There is no way in Hell Warsame is not going some sort of Bias as every writer's do and on top of that he comes from the same Lineage as the Former President. Warsame might have tried his best to be balanced but he damn sure is going to try to justify every action the former President took.

Kudos to Warsame for writing about his adeer.

I feel need to step up and finish my book, "In the Footsteps of the Mahdi - A Biography of Maxamed Farah Aidid"

Warsame and I can then do a joint book event. Buy BOTH books for a FAIR and BALANCED read.

What's the point of writing the book in a foreign language? How does it help to promote and preserve the Somali language?

No; the writer can't write in academic Somali, just like Nuradin Farah. Also, far more Somalis can't read in English than those who can.
