Nubians was strictly used for the Nubian kingdom and influenced area. Not the rest of Africa.

I don't think it was herodotus but Diodorus Siculus or Strabo. Nubian is a relatively new word. The Egyptians never used it and neither did the Greeks. To the Egyptians, they were called Kush and to the Greeks, Ethiopians.

Btw Nubia comes from the Egyptian word for gold. The area was know for gold. Somali ancestors, the cushites were from that area and upper Egypt so there's nothing wrong with calling yourself nubianqueen. Although it does make you sound like an africentric african american

I do know that. I just want to say that I am well aware of my own history and I dont need a old white guy telling me about it. I am not really claiming their history. I am proud Somali and I know that we are two seperate people. I wanted to use the name SomaliQueen, but somebody else have that name. The origin of the name Nubia is obscure. Some say it means gold, other say it means black. I chose the latter. Hence, I call myself Nubian Queen, because I am Somali and thus black too. That's all. I will not comment anymore because this is not relevant at all. I am just spamming.
