Humiliating loss in Puntland sowing further disunity and distrust, for your man to get a single vote by his tol in Garowe is shocking. Lack of interest from Mogadishu and the outside world is not helping either.

Beyond wishing and hoping for Somaliland to just disintegrate, what is the plan?

I have always supported a peaceful solution to the northern dispute and have been against secessionism.

Somali politics doesnt interest me...it's the domain of charlatans and crooks.

OD, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. Perhaps it is time you reconsider your stance and work with your people on lasting solutions. If you really are as business-minded as you claim, or seek tangible development for your kin, apply that thinking to your current predicament. Literally all doors are shut, your candidate was humiliated in Puntland, Mogadishu has made it clear it is not interested...

Put your pride aside for a moment. Think of it as a business running out of options, what would the next possible move be?

Here is the thing, after 30 years of pursuing secession I am in a better place than I was 30 years ago. In fact, I am in a better place than most somalis of the former Somali Republic.

You on the other hand happen to find yourself in a bad situation that continues to get worse. All doors shut, if Cali Ciise was not your candidate he was your clan's candidate, and he was humiliated.

So, in light of all of this, what is the next move, pride and emotions aside?
