There used to be a large Eritrean community till the mid 90's when they left. The reasons were the same as the mainly northern somali population that used to exist, they both worked in the different governement departments and the millitary becuase they spoke arabic and English fluently.

Now they have immigrated to Europe and America just the Northern popualtion.

The majority of Somalis in the emirates today and the Xabashis are new arivals from 93 onwards.
