Re: Somali Shias
soldier, making takfeer. is wrong on any one, and insulting wives of prophet is damb. you dont agree if some one insults your wife or call them cheater! if you read some stupid so called scholars your blood will boil but ive seen others who keep silent on these issues too. we have likes of them in our history too.
the thing is calling your self shia or sunni wouldnt grand you jannah. look after your hearts and 3aqeedah. i dont even like calling myself other than a muslim. but unfortunately, we have to cary labels around, you either boy or girl, instead just human, we have names, nationalities, personal and religion titles...etc.
im done this issues when i was much younger. even my debate class i wouldnt take part of this! in my opinion these kind if issues belong to history books and not islamic books. then again, religion is part of history events!

What does it tell me? It tells me that you are seriously ignorant. I suggest you re-read my last reply to you. Unless you’ve heard that directly from a Shia then I strongly advise you stop repeating hearsays. Instead of spreading ridiculous myths you should find out whether there's any truth to them or not.saacJabshee wrote:Suzie when allah has said prophet mohammed PBUH is the final messanger and shia's say ali ra is supposed to have been a messenger what does that tell you? Why should we debate them. Kalamullah is final.
Re: Somali Shias
I do not think of them as saints nor do I think I am the first person to analyse the history of early Muslims, obviously not.hyperactive wrote:there is a lot went wrong historically, and only when you stop thinking of them as saints you will master your religion. do you thi k you are the first one ever try to analize history of early muslims? done and if you check them, you find your own veiws was presented million times through hunders of years. we are where we are cause not we follow them cause we are human just like them.
i dont know your age but the stage you are now i was when i was 8 and i remember first time i told my seerah teacher, i hate moawiya and omar bin aas ( dahiyat al qreish) as they called him. once you learn the political and mentality that age and tribal stage , you understand. also i very understood muslim these age and time havent change a bit. every time i look around me, in real life and online is like im seeing my history book in grade 3.
botton line is, there are human and will be human making mistakes, we have quran, and many ahadeeths are not even authenticated but still we study in our islamic universities as one! yeah compare then in the light of quran and if not fit it, throw them.
my own convolution, Ali was a7aq fil khilafah, but is that core in my aqeedah, hell no. that is political view and i could be deadly wrong. that makes me shia? hell no.
I know early politics has played a massive role in polluting the religion that is taught to us today. And you are right about history repeating itself. However, we should strive to follow the pure Islam that Prophet Muhammad (SAAW) came with.
I know they are human and they are not exempt from making mistakes. Hence, the reason why we find so many contradictions in our hadith books. But this is a problem as our holy Prophet (SAW) came with no contradictions. Yes there are many hadiths which are unauthentic yet we deem valid and this is concerning because it means we are straying from the original sunnah.
You are wrong to think that the caliphate is a political view, it is a religious duty. So you think that Ali A.S. should have been the Khalifa? That is interesting. I want to know why you think that?
Oh and I’m not sure if you aware of this but you thinking that the Caliphate rightly belonged to the Prophets household i.e. Ali A.S technically makes you a Shia by heart

Suzie wrote:Why shouldn't we discuss it? We should ask ourselves why our Sunni scholars are so uneasy about us looking into the path of Ahlul Bayt. If we are so confident that the Sunni sect is the right path then we should be comfortable enough to explore the theologies of different sects in Islam and see how and why they differ from us. Unless of course we have something to hide.saacJabshee wrote:Do you think its possible for you to become a shia muslim at some point in time? I ask you this because of your willingness to discuss shia'sm and also saying we should be open minded about this sect. if you are indeed a practising sunni, its a very strange topic to chose to be open minded about
It's not right for us to quickly dismiss something without exploring it first.
Suzie wrote:Your are right no one will ask us about their deeds. However, the Sahaba is the example that we follow and derive our knowledge from and when their disagreements have turned into bloodshed then it is an obligation for us to find out what went wrong.hyperactive wrote:alsahaba were human and they disagreed on political level and not religion issue. get over it all. no one will ask you their deeds.
When we take this hadith for example:
"My companions are like stars, whichever of them you follow, you will be guided"
And then after the demise of the Prophet (SAW) some turned against and killed each other and to still believe that ALL the companions should be trusted and followed, goes against reason.
One party must have been on the Haqq

Suzie please share with us your beliefs.
What is your beliefs on sahaba. Who do you think deserved the caliphate?
Do you support Assad or al mujahideen?

Re: Somali Shias
That is a naive comment. We all know Allah (SWT) did not send us anyone other than the Prophet (SAW). But, after the death of the Rasulullah (SAW) who did we as Muslims look to as guides to learn the traditions of the Prophet (SAW)? His companions!Cherine wrote:Allah s.w.t didn't send us Hussein or Abu Bakr but He sent us Prophet Muhammed{pbuh} with the Qur'an. He is our Leader. Focus on your own shortcomings instead of trying to find fault with people who are long dead.
We were left to rely on his companions to derive the prophetic sunnah from. Making them our means to lead us to the right path. Studying their lives and the early history of Islam doesn't mean it should take us away from focusing on our own short comings, absolutely not. But it is a wise duty for us to have a greater understanding on whether the examples, who we take our knowledge, were following the boundaries set within the religious code of conduct or whether they were following something other than that. Since, that would mean being on the correct path or alternatively swerving away from the truth.
They may be long gone but I ask you to open any of the Six Sahih Hadith Books you will find that their knowledge is still with us today

Re: Somali Shias
So everyone is lying about the shia's and everything I have heard about them say is a lie. everything I have read about them is a lie. All shia imaams videos i have watched them speak on are lies? Maybe I haven't spoken to one face to face. However I have watched enough videos of their scholars for me to come to a conclusion about them. Not going to say they are going to hell for it is not my call, but they cant be right enough for me to ever consider becoming a shia. You keep saying unless you heard it from them what about all their videos? or you want me to hear that in person? keep dismissing me as an ignorant.Suzie wrote:What does it tell me?
