It usually goes away with age because weight follows age.

As you get older, the rest of your body expands, thus taking attention from your forehead, meaning your chin and cheeks get chubbier, etc.

Usually, Somalis display the peak of their forehead glory in their late teens, then they start putting on the pounds, or muscle, and it slowly shrinks.

The topic starter is correct, Michael, your forehead does in contrast to your body, shrink, but not through the cranium and not actually the forehead, its the rest of your face and body that expand and sort of "catch up" with your forehead.

At age 32, this was part of mine and my family's life experience.

But the topic starter is right too, it does APPEAR smaller in later years, thus the "Somali Signature Forehead" eventually disappears.
