SEATTLE - The business is called Joie de Vivre. In French, that means "Joy of Life."
No one is enjoying life more than five Seattle teenagers who just won Seattle's "Youth IT Challenge". Microsoft and the Seattle Urban League are sponsors.
Their business plan is to give immigrants from East Africa, Japan, and the Middle East a way to buy spices you can't get here... with one click of the mouse.
"You could buy those spices and it'll be shipped to you," says Anab Hersi, a Somali immigrant who goes to West Seattle High School. The team would make money on the 4 percent mark-up.
Everyone wins.
Mentors from Microsoft and the National Urban League worked with the Joie de Vivre team. The boys and girls gave up 10 Saturdays to come up with a winning business plan.
"They're amazing. One of the things that impressed me so much about the girls was their passion. I mean what they did is took their idea and made it real," says Patricia Ryan from Microsoft.
Now that Joie de Vivre has won, they'll get to compete at Nationals in Atlanta in several weeks.
They'll compete against winners from seven other cities.

What I like about seattle is there so many programs like Youth IT Challange financed by microsoft, boeing, bill and malinda gates foundation etc......I know another somali girls few years back that won hella money and trip to somehwhere because of it. There's also another business program that I will apply for insha'allah that will give your career 10 years head start, The thing is, all these programs are available to ONLY non-whites, looool.

marriage doesn't mean you have to quit school or pursuing dreams......but a teenage pregnancy or baby fatha drama will.
What's the difference between being married & putting off kids or having a girlfriend?

You don't seem to know much about somalis for a supposedly somali person. Where did you see this happen in the west? No one can tell a somali girl in the west who to marry and when to marry.
