I heard ONLF was created in 1984 but it began its war in 1994,I am a historian who wants to write a book about Somalia.

The ONLF was officially formed in 1984, but the struggle started since our land was seized by foreigners over 100 yrs ago.

assuming you are serious about the situation i will try my best to give you a link with details about the onlf strugle.

it was formed in 84,from 84 to 94 they were not a armed group but a political group.around 94 when they have sweped the elections across the region the regime took it as a threat of new power and decided to crible the elections,lock up the top onlf officials and and raid their offices this transformed the onlf from a political group to a arm resistance.
