Arawelo, if puntland decides to declare indepedence it will be because sheikh sharif starts mingling to much into puntland affairs and doesn't provide puntland funding, and not following the federal framework as agreed upon arta...if he does manage to do all that..i am sure puntland will declare independence..however it is about having strong case to take to the international...nabad baa dhulkeyga ii ahaa the west don't care about that...ma nabadada ayayga baa ku raxaysaneyo...of course not, it is not their business if u live in peace or not....thats your business...like for example if i live in your house and i say i won't pay rent because nabad baan gurigaga kula joggay..u would never accept it...you would say "thank u for being peaceful in my house but give me my rent" because that is your interst the rent, not my peace...and that is how the world works...saying puntland is peaceful and law n order doesn't cutt the mustard...its about what's in it for them

Using that house scenario if i said to u listen i can't pay u rent but i want to work for u and cutt ur grass, clean ur house, etc...now u will start to think maybe this is in my "interest" i have better chance of living ur house by offering something to u rather then saying nabad baan kula joggey so i dont want to pay rent...u get what i mean...

The international community just look at whats in the interest...the gulf of aden if their interest...maybe puntland can monopolize on that and say they will guarantee safe passage way for ur ships in return for indepedence and the west might say ok...this is in our interest...or they might say listen try the tfg again...we will get rid of the guy u don't like and install the federal framework u do like...so either we will win..how it turns out...it really depends im not psychic but i guess they will just replace sharif and put someone who is more pro puntland... and the scary thing is if they give us indepedence by using the red sea as bargaining tool...can u see isaaq quickly copying and doing same thing in berbera and zeylac and hijacking ships...so it's very shaky issue..

But finally sorry for the rant i just like to explain it clearly so ppl understand...i would love puntland country, but i dont want to live with no recognition no...danteen taas naagu ma jirto...if the international community want 1 somalia, well we can close our eyes and ignore what the international community says and daydream and waste time...or start getting to work...hence why we are involved in the south alot to help it get stabilized so we can start get $$$$$ from the world to build huge infrastructure that is needed...like railroad, sewerage, desalination plant maybe for puntland because we have huge nomad population and without water the economy will quickly collapse...so we need to look at ways into creating new water and we have big ocean to start with...but that sort of project we cant do now...thats multi million dolar project when the oil starts producing maybe then..but then again who knows sharif might take money n give it to abgaals...i will be really angry then

Yes I'd support it..I used to be strong supporter of Somaliweyn but now i believe each region should go its separate way, if the UN grants Ogaden independence tomorrow i wouldn't want it to be part of the turmoil which Somalia is currently in, there is nothing to return to ..LOL why not, if the 2 Kablalax brothers unite we'll rule the world

In a nutshell Puntland is thriving and peaceful state , it's oasis of stability and can play role in unifying & stabilising Somalia.
But i can't help but despise Pland politicians, in regards to treatment of ogaden citizens in Bosaso,, Galcayo , the previous politicians have proven to be servants to Melez's brutal regime just like Somaliland, I hope the new administration changes past policies and practices and show greater Solidarity with the plight of Ogadens.
