I will denounce my Somali citizenship if this story is true?

JEDDAH – Investigations with the six men taken under custody in connection with the killing and burial of an 8-year-old Somali girl have revealed gruesome details about the whole issue.
Police found the body of the girl buried in an under-construction building in Bab Shareef District here on Friday. Besides the six Somalis, the grandmother of the girl was also arrested.
The girl was buried with her clothes on and her head severed, according to the forensic doctor who examined her body. The alleged culprits had admitted that the burial took place about 20 days ago.
Investigators are trying to verify whether the arrested men were involved in any previous crimes. They are also looking into whether the girl’s body had any scars or bruises indicating she was subjected to physical assault. The forensic expert, according to reports, has failed to pinpoint the exact causes of the severed head.
Preliminary reports indicate that the girl was buried with her clothes on. She was neither washed nor was she wrapped in a shroud (Kafan). She was wearing a T-shirt and a pair of trousers.
Col. Misfir Al-Je’aid, spokesperson of Jeddah Police, said investigations are going on with the arrested men and some of them have proved to be illegal residents.
The girl’s grandmother was arrested Friday after receiving information from a mysterious caller claiming that her neighbor had killed her own granddaughter.
The woman caller said her neighbor repeatedly beat her granddaughter severely, and that the child’s absence from view for several days had concerned her enough to alert the authorities.
Police, acting on directions given by the caller concerning the street and the color of the house door, entered the premises of a Somali family who neighbors said had been receiving guests for a funeral wake, and arrested the elderly woman who initially told investigators that her granddaughter had died after suffering diarrhea and fever, and said she had given her to the girl’s mother who took the body to an unknown address.
When police brought in the mother of the child they discovered that she had known of the death of her daughter, but had left it to others to arrange her burial through a group of Somalis who charged SR400 to carry out the operation at a site where they believed the body would not be discovered. – Okaz/SG

This is sad, but the article doesn't tell us much about the circumstances of the death or motive. Something is amiss. Was it too much to give the deceased a proper burial? Ina Lilaahi wa ina Ilaahi rajicuun!

Kambuli i share your distrust of Saudi officials too. I met this Somali lady who recently came from there, she said the Saudis made life really difficult for us and would blame foreigners on everything, even if your kids fought at school its always the Somali kids fault.

Calling "guests" for the funeral wake sheds some doubt on foulplay here. If they were hiding, they wouldn't have called for these "guests".Moguul21 wrote:
guests for a funeral wake,
Maybe they were illegal in the country, hence, hiding it from authorities, but still conducted funeral rights.

i kinda heard similar story that happened in somaliwayn. basically nin cadaan ah oo wadamadan Europe katagay was workin for NGOs in somaliwayn, and during he's stay in a city in somaliwayn he used to abuse sexually this somali child who was in the school this man used to work asa volunteer-funded by this organisation. he abused this child for yrs and yrs. he used to say to this child that you are especial and gifted child, this is our secret. dont tell anyone. and even give the child money. anyways yrs went by and when the child reached 15, she/he came to her/he's parents and said to them im going to go to Europe with this white man who worked a the shcool. oo maxaad u'aadi europe oo yaa kuujooga laguyiri and the child said, im going there to get a better life and work for all of us, this man is giving me place to stay and money. the parents, relative, family got worried and way shakiyeen thinking that waxbaa meesha kajira, because who in their right mind dhoofinaya a person for free. they kept on asking this child why is this guy taking to you to europe for free. markay wareeriyeen, the child turned adult told them what this guy used to do to him/her. how he abused him/her for the years he/she used to go to that free school. familigii ways isku naxeen, and decided to do something about it. they told the child orod oo ayaydaa soo salaam baadiyaha dagan intaandan dhoofin, when the child was taken to the baadiye, they killed him/her, and buried him/her with her/he's clothes. they came back to the magaalo and when asked ala hebel/hebla aaway, waxay yiraah daan, waynaga carartay oo dhoofis baydoonata, waa dadkii yaman iyo xagaa doonta uraacay.
ever since aan storigaan ^ maqlay, i dont care somalis or not is a sick world out there walee.
than again Saudi media is not better than the western one! so i doubt if the story is 1) true 2) not fully told and 3)there are two sides to every story. alaahu aclam!

Well I was tempted for a minute to say a lot of bad things about the saudis and putting the blame on them ...but isn't that EXACTLY what I would be complaining about ?
Yacni I say it's THEM and they say it's US ..so ?
Allahu yaclam , Ilaahey ha u naxaaristo maskiintaas.
