why does there seem to be two maps of Somali Galbeed

Post by SomaliAmir »

fist maps

http://www.dppc.gov.et/downloadable/map ... Somali.pdf

second map

http://www.ocha-eth.org/Maps/downloadables/SOMALI.pdf

in the second maps filtu, Negella and Moyale districts all inhabited by Somalis is removed from the Somali region and give over to oromia.
so is this a conspiracy to shink the territory of the Somalis in ethiopia.

the second map is the one widely distribute by the government of ethiopia, most somalis don't even know that parts of Somali territory is currently claim and governed by Oromia. the territories east of the city of Harar were handed over to the oromo. leaving many mixed population stranded in Haraghe province. recently i read an article in which oromo groups were threatened refugee in Rasoo to declare themselves oromo or be evicted from Somali territory. Rasoo refugee camp and the districts around them are home to half a million Sheekhal. but the area that is routinally fought over is the libaan district. the first maps shows only the district of Dollo Adoo, somalis live further north and furtherwest. Dollo Ado is a mostly degodia territory. filtu is mixed district Degodia as well as Merahan, Gurre, Gadsan, Karanle. and Moyale is the home land of the Garri clan. Somalis used to live up to Negella but were displaced from Negella to filtu. know the boundary is being pushed further west toward Dollo Ado which mean than more 50% of the province will fall under oromo jurisdiction. and the worst thing of all is first the government is complicit and the region somali administration is not even trying to protect Somali territory.

sxb i though the southern somali Galbeedian's could defend the territories of south somali galbeed , specially the Degodia & Sheikhaal do clash with Borane - Oromo alot , this oromo's need to be teached a lesson to not try and invade somali lands , otherwise their land will be taken just like Galckayo - land of the Gallas former oromo were owned by the oromo , they shouldn't underestimate the power of somalis it would be a good thing if somalis pushed further into oromoialand and taking all those greenery blessed area's designed of architectural and farming's of south ethiopia.

It will be the fight between land hungry industrious peasantry against the nomads who despise cultivating land! the outcome is obvious

ducaysane,

In the past, losing lands was not question of life or death for Oromos....we were nomads, and we had enough lands!
But now, in ethiopia the demographic pressure is so high that the only arable lands left out r yours kkkk
If only u knew the situation in our highlands!!!
In harerge, 6 MILLION oromos live on a territory smaller than 5 PERCENT of OGADENIA, and u guys dream conquering these lands kkkk
And Ogadenia is only 6 million!!!
If u take northern Oromo/Amhara highlands situation is much more dramatic!

the question is not about courage, nationalism, religion or any other artificial ideologies, it will be about survival!!!

Think over it before claiming this or that land...

Peace

war sxb when it comes to Survival i have no doubt that the somali Nomad Warrior's - Geeljiire's will out survive the oromo farmer's just like centuries ago we made the amahara's hide in the highlands and eat raw meat in fear of somali's marka learn from them to not mess with somalis.

I think its ASSIMILATION!!!
In fact we r good muslims!
When Somali conquer any people they used to sell them as slaves, whereas, we Oromos used to assimilate them.
Our ancient religion forbid slavery!!! MASHAA ALLAH

Munique Kilinka 5and.

Bareenta, if Oromos are 40 million people...how come they have always been controlled by tigre and amaharas who they outnumber like crazy. Somalis might not be as much but quality beats quantity anyday.
