With Italians, it has to do with the Roman Catholic religion and it's resistance to divorce, so they don't do it. Islam, fortunately, doesn't suffer from the same mallady. Islam recognizes that people aren't always a perfect match, so it offers an alternative. R.C's don't have that option.
