least intelligent people on the planet. The country is a mess. We have no great literary advancements throughout the time. We haven't invented anything. We didn't have a written language until 30 years ago. Our people are parasites of the desert who move beyond desert shrub from desert shrub. Our architectural pride is something that would not even qualify in a Brazilian favela. Not a single "city" in the country has sewers or running water. Great advancements in development advancement is digging up water wells in urban centers.

Even more than the physical manifestations of the people is the inner, spiritual manifestations. By far, Somalis from what I have observed here in the West as well as back in Africa comparison to every group they live among or with are the least civilized, the most backward, the most intellectually stunted, the most primitive in thinking, and the least cognitively developed people I have ever seen.

Voltage, how can we compete with Ethiopia, when our language is written in the Latin Alphabet? Look at the Oromo people? Their language is written in the Latin Alphabet as well. They're doomed as well.

How can we compete with the world, when our greatest enemies are the very own people that claim to be the same tribe as us? How can we compete with the world, when Somalis have the most hypocrites in the Muslim World? How can we compete with ourselves, when we have people that love Colonialism more than Freedom?

Today, we have Somalis calling Ilkacase Qays an "Abwaan".

Did you knew that while Siyad Barre was building Somalia to a modern nation in the 1970s, many somali leaders was making plans to destroy his government because he was too succesful in their eyes?

What's even worse than what you have stated above is our arrogance and false pride, I don't even discuss anything with a group of somalis anymore because the level of delusion is abnormal high for people who amount to nothing.

No offense brah, but you haven't made a lot of sense. Writing our language in the Latin alphabet is definitely the best choice for development. Easy destination of information, easy use of the net, easy use of existing technological inventions, faster literacy, etc. Ethiopia's script actually handicaps its development.

Mr voltage, Mr voltage, Mr voltage.

Sometimes I smile appears on my face when I hear, when I see, when I am in the presence of individuals with self-defeatist attitudes. People such as yourself.
Mr voltage, you seem to be a man of high intellect such as myself, however where we differ is that I have so much self-confidence upon myself, I rarely question myself.

Whereas you seem to question yourself on a regular basis. It brings me back to my youth, seeing my uncle arrive from Mogadishu with a smile on his face laughing and joking. He was telling my father about how he collected large amounts of goods the day Mogadishu fell. To this day my dear uncle drives a first class BMW and Mercedes. He is a remarkable man who sets his goals very high, and accomplishes unimaginable things. Always looking up, never looking down. Nothing is impossible in his eyes, traits that more of us should share.

Alle hau naxaristo Siad Barre, but in terms of development we were far from a modern nation. Sure some things were supported, there was better government coordination, and development aid was channeled in easily but to call it a "modern nation" is part of the delusion I am talking about. We were a third world dumping ground even then.

Voltage, none taken. But, you must understand....how are we an indigenous people in the Horn of Africa, if our mother tongue doesn't have it's own unique Alphabet?

The Latin Alphabet is a good direction, in a Global spectrum, but...like the Amhara, we should've had our own unique alphabet.
