Yes but your not english. How would you reconcile that both of you don't speak Somali with your Somali identity or are you someone who believes they are 'British Somali'. How would you raise your children without teaching them Somali ?

Doesn't matter sxb, there thousands of western borned Somalis that can't speak a lick of Somali, as long as you have a common language that both of you can speak fairly then that's enough. To me learning Arabic is more important to the kids than learning Somali.
