The 17th of December - a day to remember

Post by Lamagoodle »

It was this day that the fire of what has become known as the "Arab spring" was ignited. Mohamed Bouoaziz set himself on fire and what followed defied the conventional wisdom that Arabs in general loved "dictatorship" .

He passed away on the 4th of January.

Because of his action, Ben Ali, Mubarak, Qaddafi and Saleh are gone. Many other regimes will crumble soon or must initiate reforms.

Mondey, how did you come to that conclusion saaxib? I think, you should avoid narrow definations of "suicide". He was protesting .

If he is guilty of suicide every other man and woman who get injured engaging in a protest action is guilty of suicide;

Saaxib, walaahi arrintuna ma cado; waayo, qof waliba hadduu naftiisa wax ku sameeyo oo u dhinto waxuu isku sameeyey ma la oran karaa ruuxaasi wuu is diley?

Tusaale, gaari hadaad xawaare ku wadid oo kula qalibmo ma adaa is dishay? Haddii aad dhisatid hooy aan saldhig lahayn oo dushaad ku soo dumo ma adaa is dishey?

Asaga koleeyte markuu dabka isku shiday ma uusan lahayn is dil ee wuxuu doonaayey in xaalka wax laga bedelo.

Ilaah ha u naxriisto. Ninkaasi talaabtu qaadey waa mid mudan amaan. Wadamada carabta oo idil ayuu gilgiley.
