Al Shabab didn't capture anything.

I support Hassan Sheikh and Shirdoon but their administration is meant for peace time and not at a time where Al Shabab still controls a chunk of Somalia. We need military leaders at this time.

To tackle Al Shabab, you need the likes of Barre Hiraale or Qaydbiid or Madoobe. Not Sheikh and Shirdoon. These guys do things by the book and are not ruthless. Only the likes of Hiraale or Qaybdiid or Madoobe can properly defeat Shabab.

Of course Shabab didn't engage in random killings, suicide missions and assassinations in Sharif's time; you don't need to do that when Shabab controlled everything south of Galkacyo except a few Mogadishu districts. What we are seeing now is desperation from Al Shabab.
