It was a warm, bright spring day, the spring officially started a couple of weeks ago but the warmer weather has been slow to arrive. I was chatting with a friend from UK when a moment we entered a restaurant, an old childhood classmate recognized me and shouted hebel hebel till he cought my eye across a crowded restaurant. To make it short, I was excited to meet one of my long lost friend, It brings back so many old memories e.g. our pass activities such as football, basketball amateurish SHUKAANSI etc. We have decided to have khat chewing session but withing 15 minutes I felt uncomfortable about the JAWIGA.

My worst day in SL was when I wore a basketball singlet to the Suuq during a hot day and all the kids, men and islamo gathered around me and saying: "Waryaahee maxad xidhan tahay? War waxan suqa kala bax. War wuxu dhaqan xuma"...I told them hoyadin waxa ku sameya.

Huge fight inside the Bacadle/Shiraqle. I almost went home to get my cousin's AK47.

Never wear a singlet/basketball jersey in Hargeisa...Burao is even worse they will shoot you.
