'German-Somali' behind Mogadishu's Jazeera hotel blast

Post by Machiavelli2 »

A German of Somali origin is suspected to have been the suicide bomber who struck in Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, on Sunday, a Somali intelligence officer has told the BBC.

The male bomber was believed to have come from Bonn city, said the officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity as investigations were continuing.

The attack on the five-star Jazeera Palace Hotel killed 15 people.

Al-Shabab, which is linked to al-Qaeda, said it carried out the bombing.

A number of people from the US and Europe are known to have previously travelled to Somalia to join the group.

US President Barack Obama, who is visiting neighbouring Ethiopia and Kenya, condemned the attack.

Is that guy from Germany who had alcohol problems and was an ardent Alshabab supporter still with us? I hope it is not him. Aun to the dead.

If the BBC quoting a Somali security official is lying, (it could be a lie), rectify it and tell us what your "trustworthy" sources say?

AUN to the dead.

I don't buy it.

It seem too convenient to quickly lay the blame somewhere and put a face to the alleged suicide bomber and just brush it under the carpet. A visa extension for the bantu soldiers, an excuse and opportunity for jubaland to make themselves more comfortable and familiar on the cosy lap of Kenya, a slap on the face of the Somali men and women who believe they do not need African troops, and a set back for those who had plan to invest but might have a second thought.

So who are the winners ilaahay baan idin ku dhaariye.

Horta why is it that majority of the suicide bombers hold foreign passports?

Dad nolosha ka dhacey oo noloshooda ka quustey waaye waxa suicide ka sameynaayo. What a selfish way to go out! Naarta Allah ha idinku fogeeyo. Amen!

Is that a real possibility?

Has this happened before, SNET member going to Somalia on a suicide mission?

The vast majority of as shabab suicide attacks are probaly carried out by people born and bred in Somalia.the few from the west get all the headlines because of the media and the tfg uses those kind of reports to scare western governments.

There used to be a guy here from Germany who had drinking problems by his own admission and used to insult anyone who doesn't support Alshabab. He could have been trolling or wanted to entrap others. But if you look carefully those who join such groups, you will find many of them to share similar profiles.
