How did you find & join Snet? This should be interesting

I originally joined Snet as a naive 17 year old after I stumbled on Snet through a google search. I read the forum for a while and joined a few months later. This was years ago now and I remember there were a lot of funny and crazy characters around. We had some good banter Snet nowadays is tame in comparison.

Shoutout to those I remember Ruralman (nutter), NewHargeisagirl, Voltage, Nabilah, Greenday (where you at?), Waryaa (he was active back then), TheEmperor, Kambuli, Keyse & many others.

Since then I've left and joined Snet a fee times and each time it's differnt. I went through lots of phases, including ones that are better forgotten ultra religious and eventually I've become the chilled out, relaxed and wadani TheFuturist.

i was 15 in a month going to 16. i discovered through google. i had assignment and i was searching about somali kenyian flag which i never discovered. i was lonely kid in boarding school in aman, jordan. rest is history.

There was no google when I joined it. Alta vista was the best search engine. I was invited to the chatrooms.

I remember when almost all the members were "annons". Gamadid, Mowhak, Qansaxgabeyle, Cilmiile, HomerSimpson, the intellectual Nolol Cusub, Michael Italy, the Law24, Rightwing, Runloow, Hannah, Foxy, Goldie, Viking, Nur, Madmac, Gorgorad, Axlaan, Basra, Intruder, Sheikh Cabdi Sheeloweyne (Intruder and sheikh Abdi sheeloweyne made an appointment to fight in Atlanta), Ninxun; Sir Luggooyo, Kambuli, Abdiwahab and Imansquad were not that active but were also around. I took a 12 year sabbatical and came back in 2011.

I joined Snet in 2011, but I was not active, I Created my first thread in 2012 , it was related to my field of education. at that time I was doing multimedia course, It was tough Subject And I had no previous basic technology experience. I didn't even know what the hell is Photoshop let alone HTML. I reached Snet for help but I didn't get enough helpful responses. Then I discovered Username Siciid afisoone's web authoring tutorials. I contacted him directly. He gave me good information but I couldn't follow his instructions because I had a lot of other assignments to do. I offered him Money if he finish my Assignment, actually I was willing to pay him up to 100 US dollar. Siciid never responded to my offer, perhaps he had other important things to do. But That helped me to be a man and deal with my own problems. Today web authoring is not my cup of tea. Thanks to Afisoone.

Basra was always the unconventional wisdom kind of contributor. She says what is on her mind (with humour and self-irony). Her rants about the small G saw its birth because there was this member called JaamacG-yare and xxxwaxyare. It was in response to him that she trademarked it

I was a user of the chats during 2006-8 it was hilarious I remember smokey And savloy who went to my uni I had loads of fun teasing that niiga he never suspected that it was me
