Don't try to make political capital out of a drought.

Re: President Silaanyo On His Way To Visit Drought Victims.
I think Dawlada did good job in drought relief efforts by coordinating and combining local and international help to reach communities most affected.
I do not believe that government is solely responsible for feeding every single person. It's joint effort between the people
For those who did not donate anything ought to keep their mouths closed and leave our President alone.

They did a great job except for that important part of drought prevention. And if the government is not responsible for it's citizens well being then what is the purpose of having a government? If they can't provide the basics of feeding every single citizen how can they call themselves a government?

The President is not immune from criticism, President has to make the decisions and accept the ultimate responsibility for those decisions.original dervish wrote:Don't try to make political capital out of a drought.

Yeah your right. The idiot couldnt even stop or "prevent" the EL Nino weather system that has had an impact on the entire planet. What a failure he is!.
Re: President Silaanyo On His Way To Visit Drought Victims.
It's really easy to point fingers, but one has to reflect at times. There is no way to prevent droughts, it's calamity from Allah and no human can prevent it. The response of the government, civilians, and business community was appropriate and as far as I am concerned did damn good job or it could have been way worse.
It's the lazy minds that take the easy way out by blaming and bad mouthing a man who is an elder statesman. Once again no xishmad in this place
The government is to make laws and defend the country from external threats, their job isn't to baby sit the entire population. The private sector is and always will be the driving engine of a nation

Silanyo should have got off his arse ages ago old age is not an excuse.. if he is fit to lead a nation he is fit to visit his ppl which he should of done months ago... why hasn't Amina waris visited she is the first lady of SL and should be at the forefront of all humanitarian efforts in SL
He is the leader you lead a nation by example he should have been the first one out there.. pressuring the SL medical community to volunteer in the efforts and reach their ppl...
The private sector and the citizens home and abroad have been great
The leader and the medical community has let it's ppl down

Re: President Silaanyo On His Way To Visit Drought Victims.
Droughts are occurring more often than in previous decades.
The Govt need to start preparing for the next drought now.
