Land is getting expensive. Once you build a home you have 2 choices. Either let family stay there or build them another. This looks to be a more viable option.

i believe the govt should as a test trial own all land in both hargeisa and maybe one more city. then they should build affordable blocks of nationalized flats for the poorest to live

This is what I don't get. The entire country is rocks, stones, minerals, mud and clay. Yet we're wasting what little money we have on importi materials.

Liquid I have been in Somaliland for nearly 5 years now the people here import is what they know local.production mass production manufacturing they are terrified.. The country has allot of resources and the govt doesn't stimulate this. The New govt is going to tax imports though if something is locally produced.

What an ugly house with useless outdoor area. Reminds me of barbecue sheds in Australian parks.

If they built a double storey house with this materials it would be something.
